Information about the euro exchange rate

Unfortunately, there is no single official exchange rate, and the exchange rate can be set by each bank itself, making a distinction between what is known as the buying price, the selling price and the middle price between the two.

An example: If you had exchanged 1'000 Euro at the Hamburger Sparkasse in CHF on January 31, 2018, you would have received 1'129 CHF. Had you replaced them immediately (which, of course, only makes sense in a purely theoretical sense), you would only get 936.93 euros.
In cashless transactions (ie in bank transfers), the difference is usually not that big.

Please also note that we can not reissue the euro amount immediately in the euro area, so it may well be that the euro exchange rate changes to our (dis)favor. Therefore, we should also include a small risk premium.
